So I indulged myself the other day and bought a FFVII necklace from ebay. I feel I owe it to myself - as I've made over $80 selling just a few things this past month. Not to mention the money I've saved from getting CDs on the swap sites.

Still looking for work.

Still looking for a car. (and I need to call Mercy tomorrow to set up my road test appointment)
---
Still need to send my acceptance to U of M. They offered me $3000 a year! That's almost half tuition!

Still need to get into the "yoga every night" habit.
So here we are - not even a full month since the release of Ghosts I-IV, and Trent Reznor has already hinted at the release of a NEW album with the unexpected single "Discipline", which hit radio waves about 24 hours ago. He's made the single downloadable on the main NIN site, so of course I got it.
It seems like ever since his official split with the record companies he's been on a musical roll, proving the reocurring lyric "nothing can stop me now" quite true.
The song feels very - well - it's definitely a pop hit but not quite as dance-y as "Only" was back when With_Teeth was released. There's something in this that combines the elements of all his music. There's a heavy hand of With_Teeth at work with the boom-chick of the background music but then there are repeating piano chords in the background that are very reminiscent of The Downward Spiral and Fragile years.
All in all, I'm loving this new Trent Reznor.
Once I start, I cannot stop myself

Events:
My mom and dad have been fighting a lot more lately - or maybe this time I actually hear them. :P Usually they do the fighting after I got to bed, my sister says. It's funny how my mom still treats me like a child but at the same time she told me today that I need to grow up.
I won't listen to you tell me to be more aggressive/assertive when you can't stand up for yourself.
You don't have to be a bitch to be successful.
This will turn out okay.

Watched the first six episodes of Doctor Who season 3 at Kari's on Sunday and am frustrated that the DVD sets are so expensive everywhere.

No matter how much yoga I do and how little bread I eat, the love handles won't go away. D:

This is time 23540150147781592435 of swearing to learn to read my Russian better. This is the frustrating stage where I always quit because I can't read as quickly as I can in English. I know that once I pick up speed this will get so much easier but I hate this part.
It's embarrassing.

Woo! $58 tax refund!

I need a job.
I'm pretty excited I got both(!) NIN CDs I ordered within a couple of days from one another. Received Ghosts I-IV in the mail and then got the Day the Whole World Went Away single I ordered from someone on SwapaCD.
Speaking of which - been getting many many people saying they've received the things I've sent them which equals to many many credits.

Someone actually bid on my Calvin and Hobbes book collection on Ebay. :D Circled page numbers and all! Although I'm not sure how much I should have asked for it... Right now it's at $9.00 for 9 books (plus $7 shipping). And as I'm looking at other people who've put up collections, I see 7 for $20, 8 for $7, $3 for 99cents, 5 for $16.50...
I feel I picked a decent middleground - and have a guaranteed buyer (with 3 watchers).
The VHD set has 2 watchers and the Ayu DVD has 1.

Wind Waker has become addiction. Each level takes me several hours to complete and I LOVE it. The game is forcing me to take my time, which I rarely do. :)

Numb3rs is a severely underrated show. I enjoy it so much more than I thought I would.

Got accepted to U of M - Dearborn today. It's looking like that's going to be where I attend this fall. Not super-psyched about this but it is a better alternative than Bowling Green - and it means I get a car...and a job...and a life.
:P
I love how my communications technology class has turned into "let's have Maria help EVERYONE with Photoshop class." :P Don't get me wrong; I love to be useful. But when I start getting Ds on projects because I'm helping ten other people, that's not cool.
Went underwear shopping yesterday with my mom and bought some very colorful things. I'm also supposed to be getting a call from TJMaxx about my job application. I'm not sure how it's looking so far with my applications, but I'm feeling confident. I should call the library and see how they're dealing with my application.
Been very happy with swapaCD.com. I've already gotten rid of about 10 of my CDs and five of my books and have sent them out - waiting for credits and have lots of other items on hold. Only annoying thing is going to the post office every other day. D: Here is what I want: Aqualung. Goldfrapp. Radiohead.
Received NIN's new "Ghosts I-IV" in the mail today! I'm excited and very relieved. My NIN shelf had to be turned flat because the collection no longer fits sideways. It feels incomplete without The Fragile there to balance it.
Kim needs to give me back my music.
My bra feels like it's too big for me.
I had a dream last night where I murdered Colin Mochrie. What does that mean?
I just found some amazing websites that deserve a [this is good] .
www.paperbackswap.com
www.swapacd.com
www.swapadvd.com
This is some amazing stuff - and it's just what it sounds like. You swap books, cds, or dvds with other people in exchange for credits which allow you to "buy" books you want. If someone requests a book from you, your only obligation is to ship it out (approx. $2) and then you get one credit in exchange which allows you to buy a book from someone else at no cost to yourself.
I joined the first two and I'm really excited. :)
I bought new eye makeup today.
-Very excited to see how it will look tomorrow.
It's one of those mineral-y types so it won't screw with my skin like a lot of things do.
I hate having sensitive skin. :)
